Sorry but in a bed like that, given its size, you could easily double if not triple that number and just have the characters prioritize sitting in the cab. But it still doesn't mean I was annoyed that by default a modern short-bed truck could only fit 6 rucksacks in the first game. I'm not saying give me something like a Juggernaut Suit from the Call of Duty series, but something like what you see on riot police or modern military even some of the gear from the Rainbow Six Vegas series seems feasible. Never really struck me why a bunch of survivors wouldn't want something like the military plate carrier to prevent those pesky Zeds from biting and clawing you apart. I'm a sucker for the idea of using military gear, even scavenged, as a means to survive. ![]() I mean, I know it seems stupid, but washing those by hand would remove most of the threat of infection through absorption by the skin. ![]() I never understood why after killing some of those Armored Zeds or SWAT Zombies that your survivors never re-purposed some of that gear. That was one thing that I absolutely fell in love with the original game was the absolutely HUGE selection of weapons you could come across. If they aren't already in the game at launch that is. which for some reason I found to be very pleasing to use. The guns from the first game, and the special items seen in YOSE, especially the Sparta Sword. Will it be more friendly than the first game to modders? Will we be able to freely change and create our own characters and introduce weapons to the game? Here's what I would love to see. What I wanted to do though was open up a few topics to discuss among my peers who are looking forward to State of Decay 2. Surviving in the original and YOSE (yes, I bought both) was a blast and now here's what we know we can do. State of Decay 2 will not be an MMO but will instead in-cooperate co-op multiplayer elements. So looking back at what we have seen thanks to the IGN First Look having a month-long special and the bits of video and media that Undead Labs has given us I can say that I am actually insanely excited for State of Decay 2. ![]() “At some point, we kind of stepped back and said “Look, do we build the game that we thought we were going to make in 2009 or do we build a sequel to State of Decay?” I think that’s what you have to do as a game developer, you have plans, you can look at the world the way you see it then and try to project what you’re going to be doing, but really what you got to do is be responsive to how people actually play your game and what they ask for.” The thing that people were actually asking for was cooperative multiplayer.” Very few people were saying “Gee, I hope State of Decay 2 is kind of an online MMO type experience”. “When we started development on State of Decay 2, that was still a plan that was in our mind, but again that’s not what State of Decay fans were asking for. We want to give players the gameplay they’re expecting, deepen it, broaden it and make it even better.” “State of Decay 2 is not an MMO, it is not a free-to-play micro-transaction based game. However on the Xbox Twitch channel, the studio’s founder Jeff Strain revealed that although they had plans to include MMO elements in the sequel, it was simply not what fans were asking for. During this year’s E3, Undead Labs announced State of Decay 2 which was expected to have MMO elements.
